Sauté
源自法文是「To jump」的意思，表示食物因為油的關係而跳動，後來在英文是指在平底鍋上使用大火爆炒至熟的動作。

Pan-fry
Let’s cook the pan-fried lobster tonight!
今晚煮油煎龍蝦吧！
「 煎英文 」Pan-fry與Saute的差別?
煎英文有兩種分別是Pan-fry跟saute，最大的差別是火侯不同，pan-fry是使用低溫慢慢將食物煎熟，而saute是用高溫將食物煮熟。
Fry
I would like to have a fried rice, please?
我想要點一份炒飯。
Stir-fry
*Stir-fried rice 炒飯/ Stir-fried vegetable 炒菜/ Stir-fried noodle 炒麵
Poach
*Poached eggs/ Boiled eggs 水煮蛋
I had poached eggs for breakfast every morning.
我每天早上都吃水煮蛋。
Broil/Roast/Grill
Broil 熱從上面來烤，通常用來將已經熟的食物外皮烤脆；
Roast 從四面八方來烤，通常會用一枝棒串著一邊轉一邊加熱；
Grill 放在條狀的烤架上用炭來烤。
I boiled the bacon rather than fry it.
我將烤培根而不是煎。
Just roast the chicken in the oven and baste it in oil and lemon.
直接把雞放在烤箱裡，塗上油和檸檬汁烤。
Dad was grilling the chicken in the back yard.
爸爸在後院烤雞。

搗成泥狀
＊mashed potatoes
Mash the potatoes and then mix in the butter and herbs.

把檸檬對切，將之擠到碗裡。
打(蛋)
